On 1 September 2023 the New Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) came into force in Switzerland.
Data Protection Policy
This policy governs and informs about the manner in which the Foundation for the Institute for Oncology Research (IOR), processes personal data collected from participants of the LyFE Course. This policy explains how and why we are processing personal data.
Personal Data Collection
In order to register to the LyFE Course, you will need to provide the following personal data:
- Name, institute/organization/company of employment and professional address, phone number, e-mail address
- Technical meta data (IP address, browser version, operating system): if you use our website.
The collected data is only used for the respective purpose.
The data and registration management system is hosted by the Foundation for the Institute of Oncology Research.
By visiting our homepage your web browser automatically sends some non-personal identification information to our server, such as: type and version of the web browser, name of your operating system, referrer URL, the address of the page you are visiting. The web server is hosted by swizzonic.ch.
We make use of Google Analytics to gather statistics about the usage of our homepage in order to improve the usability and the content we serve.
Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of our homepage, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. Google may use the Data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
